Truly, ‘tis the season to be jolly and merry! The most wonderful time of the year when all hearts are filled with charity and fondness. Giving is an all year-round 24/7 act of kindness but for the children who patiently count days till Christmas, December is indeed their most-awaited month wherein their precious minds, Santa, and his elves come alive.
CHARITY_EVENT_COVER_small.jpgCommonwealth Visa Experts (CVE) with the help of Child Hope Foundation took part in the gift-giving season. Street children from Binondo, Sto. Cristo and Divisoria were very welcoming as we walked in to their classroom. We were greeted with so much enthusiasm.
The children showcased their talents in singing, dancing and rapping as the program progressed. We saw the competitive side of the kids as they went into a friendly competition by means of a talent showdown.
We were so blessed to have witnessed such talent that people do not recognized when these children are on the streets. Beneath the physical look there is so much more. With the generosity of private institutions like Child Hope that continuously protects the welfare of these children, and gives free education, CVE believes that there will be time when children will no longer build their world in the cold pavement of the streets.
Ma’am Lorna Gabon, from Child Hope Foundation, helped us distribute our simple token of appreciation for the kids, a gift they can share with their family. Ma’am Gabon is a volunteer street educator who offers free class to the children. The class schedule is every Tuesday until Saturday from 9am to 12nn.
We in CVE are very thankful that we were able to show some good vibes and love to these kids. We also would like to thank our clients for being a part of this act of kindness. Through you, this simple event was made possible.
